The Crafts Museum Ovelgönne is not a state-funded cultural institution. It is a place of civic engagement, run entirely on a volunteer basis. Without the dedicated commitment of our members, our board and the support of the community, the district and the wider region, the doors of this historic townhouse would remain closed.

Our association is officially recognised as non-profit. We are happy to issue an official donation receipt for your records.
Bring Your Talents
Would you like to spend your free time meaningfully and make a real difference? We are looking for motivated hands across many different areas of the museum. Prior expertise is not essential — curiosity and enthusiasm certainly are.
Look after mechanical exhibits and interactive digital elements such as the "Time Crank". Develop things further that genuinely enthuse visitors.
Photography, digital archiving or social media: support us with the documentation and public communication of the museum.
Work directly with original objects. Help record, photograph and catalogue historic donations according to professional standards.
Share your knowledge with passion. Lead visitor groups through the building or support us during educational school workshops.
